THE GOLDEN TEMPLE ~ PRINT

ROOH, a collaboration is an exploration of love, friendship, nostalgia and identity through architecture and calligraphy. By fine artist Babbuthepainter & Aadil Abedi.
Landmark buildings across India and Pakistan are at the center of this six painting series. Aadil and Babbu chose three monuments each that paid homage to their heritage, The Taj Mahal, Charminar, Badshahi Masjid, The Golden Temple, Nankana Sahib Gurdwara, and Takht Sri Patna Sahib, accompanied by a spoken word passage for each.

The Golden Temple - The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, meaning "abode of God"  is a gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the preeminent spiritual site of Sikhism. The Golden Temple is spiritually the most significant shrine in Sikhism. The Golden Temple is an open house of worship for all men and women, from all walks of life and faith, with four entrances. Over 100,000 people visit the holy shrine daily for worship.
